Business Computer Programming prepares students for entry into the computer programming/science fields in a variety of positions ranging from Information Technology Assistant to Computer Programmer.  Students learn the fundamentals of computer programming as well as business application and game programming fundamentals.  Students also gain experience using Integrated Development Environments as well as command-line methods.

This program teaches the use of Visual Studio, with VB and C# dot Net languages as the focal point.  Students can move directly into the industry or on to college.

Adult students...

PROGRAM LENGTH: The program takes eight semesters or about 16 months (1200 hours) to complete. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Student's competency in math, language, and reading is pre-assessed. Required basic skills grade levels are: Reading-9; Math-10; and Language-9.

High school students…

PROGRAM LENGTH: Students attend morning (7:30 to 10:15 am) or afternoon (11:15 am to 2:00 pm) sessions for 1 – 2 years as juniors and/or seniors.

ENTRANCE DATES: This is a two-year program for high school students and adults.  Students can earn up to 4 credits per year towards graduation.

Classes meet Monday through Friday on a half-day basis. Students may choose to attend morning (7:30 – 10:15 am) or afternoon (11:15 to 2:00 pm) sessions or both (preferred).
