To write letters or emails to better communicate.

The teachers use a system that helps you progress rapidly....

  1. You will complete an assessment that helps you understand your current academic levels.

  2. You will set your goals for improving your reading, math, and writing skills.

  3. You and the teacher will identify your specific weak areas or challenges.

  4. The teacher will prescribe the best way for you to learn using a variety of resources.

  5. You will then use self-instructional materials, computer software, and other learning activities to improve your skills.

  6. You and your teacher will evaluate your progress.

To accommodate different learning styles, the program utilizes different instructional approaches and a variety of multimedia equipment and materials.

Specific modifications for students with special needs can be made on an individualized basis.

Each subject area has four levels through which a student may progress:  Basic, Beginner, Intermediate, and Functional.

The reading course provides instruction to improve word attack skills, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.  The language course provides instruction in sentence structure, grammar, parts of speech, capitalization, and punctuation.
