Cosmetology provides students with technical knowledge and skills necessary to qualify for the Florida Cosmetology State Licensure Examination. Instruction includes a combination of classroom theory and practical experiences through practice on mannequins and patrons.

Cosmetology Specialist training in Facials and Nails is also available.

Adult students…

PROGRAM LENGTH: The program is approximately 11 months or 1200 hours long. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 7:25 am - 1:55 pm; and Monday through Thursday, 4:00 - 9:00 pm.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Student's competency in math, language, and reading is pre-assessed. Required basic skills grade levels are: Reading-9; Math-8; Language-8.

High school students…

PROGRAM LENGTH: Students attend morning (7:25 to 10:10 am) or afternoon (10:50 am to 1:30 pm) sessions for 1 – 2 years as juniors and/or seniors.

ENTRANCE DATES: This is a two-year program for high school students. Seniors may enter and complete a one-year program. Students can earn up to 4 credits per year towards graduation.

Classes meet Monday through Friday on a half-day basis. Students may choose to attend morning (7:25 – 10:15 am) or afternoon (10:50 to 1:30 pm) sessions.
