	Program completers receive their Child Care Development Specialist certification.
	This program is approved and registered with the Florida Department of Education, Workforce Development, to provide professional development in child care.

Benefits include on-the-job mentoring and eligibility for 9 college credits at any Florida community college.

What are the costs?

There are no tuition fees, only minimal cost for supplies.

How long is the program?

The program is 4000 hours of on-the-job training and 288 hours of classroom instruction. Most students are enrolled for two years. 

(You can receive up to 50% credit for previous education or training.)

Does the program meet Florida Law?

The SCTI program complies with Staff Credentials DCF, Chapter 65C-22 CDA Equivalency and is nationally recognized.
