About SCTI Staff

Seventy-eight percent of SCTI contract teachers have earned their bachelor’s degrees with forty-seven percent also holding master’s degrees or higher.

All SCTI teachers are certified by the State of Florida or the School Board of Sarasota County. Technical program teachers are required to have a minimum of six years experience in their field or the necessary educational credentials.

Each SCTI program maintains an advisory committee with a total participation of over 440 community members. This collaboration fosters many partnerships, cooperative agreements, and apprenticeships, and provides a valuable resource for SCTI graduates.
